(在飯館兒裡)

謝：錢先生，您喜歡吃什麼？您點菜，好嗎？

錢：我什麼都吃，您點吧。

謝：我聽說這家飯館兒的魚做得非常好。

錢：那麼，我們就點一個魚吧。

謝［對服務生(fu2wu4sheng1)*］：先生，您能再給我們介紹幾個菜嗎？

服務生：好的，你們喜歡吃牛肉嗎？我們做的牛肉很有名。

謝：我們點一個魚，一個牛肉，一個青菜，再點一個雞湯，夠不夠？

錢：夠了，夠了。

謝：錢先生，您這個月在台灣玩兒得好吧？

錢：太好了，朋友們都對我太客氣了。

謝：回了美國，別忘了給我們寫信，也請您替我們問錢太太好。

錢：一定，一定。

( in a restaurant )

Xie: Mr.Qian, what would you like to eat? Please order yourself, OK?

Qian: I’m not picky. Go ahead and order.

Xie:I heard that the fish in this restaurant is prepared very well.

Qian: Well then, let’s order a fish.

Xie( to the waiter ) : Sir, could you recommend a few dishes to us?

Waiter: Very well. Do you like beef? Our beef dishes are very famous here.

Xie: If we order a fish, a beef dish, a vegetable dish and a chicken soup, will that be enough?

Qian: Yes, that will be enough.

Xie: M.Qian, did you enjoy yourself in Taiwan this month?

Qian: It was great. All my friends were very nice to me.

Xie: When you returen to America, don't forget to write us a letter and give our best regard to Mrs.Qian.

第二部分：

(在張家)

張先生：請坐，請作。方先生，您想喝點兒什麼酒？

方先生：什麼酒都行。

張先生：方太太，您呢？

方太太：謝謝，我一點兒酒都不能喝。

方先生：這麼多菜都是張太太您自己做的嗎？

張太太：是啊。可是做得不好。

張先生：沒什麼菜，你們多吃一點兒。

方太太：您別客氣，我們自己來。

方先生：張太太，您這些菜做得真好吃。

張太太：哪裡，哪裡。這個牛肉，您吃了沒有？

方先生：我已經吃了很多了。

張太太：那麼，您再喝碗熱湯吧。方太太，您也來一碗，好不好？

方太太：謝謝，我吃飽了，大家慢用。

張先生：那麼，您吃點兒水果吧。

(at the Zhang's home)

Mr.Zang: Please sit down. Mr.Fang, what kind of wine would you like to drink?

Mr.Fang: Anything is fine.

Mr.Zang: And you, Mrs.Fang?

Mrs.Fang: Thank you. I can’t drink any wine at all.

Mr.Fang: Mrs.Zang, did you cook all of this food yourself?

Mrs.Zang: Yes, but it isn’t very good.

Mr.Zang: There’s not much food. Please eat as much as you want.

Mrs.Fang: Don’t be so polite. We can help ourselves.

Mr.Fang: Mrs.Zang, this food you cooked is really delicious.

Mrs.Zang: No, no. Did you try some of this beef?

Mr.Fang: I’ve already had a lot.
